Charley Davidson has pretty much resigned herself to the fact that her life on earth is never going to even come close to being boring. Some days may be less interesting than others, but boring – not a chance. She’s got investigations to work on, a few people in her inner circle are clearly having problems that Charley is just itching to discover and resolve, and she’s just met someone quite new, quite interesting, and quite related to her gorgeous husband, Reyes Farrow.
Charley has been intrigued and distracted by Reyes’ past as long as she can remember, and the opportunity presented by this latest arrival is just too good to be true. Unfortunately, that opportunity comes with strings attached, and those strings lead Charley into a tangled web that even her vivid imagination has trouble comprehending. In the meantime, she’s also putting more and more pieces of her own existence in some semblance of order, fitting bits of knowledge together and exploring the power she has only begun to understand. Reyes is a willing teacher, but it’s Charley who must take the lead, even if she is reluctant to do so.
Eleventh Grave in Moonlight is one of those books that is impossible to review without giving up too many details that readers will want to discover on their own. Suffice it to say that Charley is as engaging and interesting as ever, Reyes is the hottest tutor in the celestial realm and beyond, and Charley and Reyes together still equals one of the hottest romances on this side of the solar system. Author Darynda Jones continues to keep this series fresh, suspenseful and exciting, revealing bits and pieces about Charley and Reyes that keep the underlying storylines ever present and ever intriguing. Charley and Reyes – they’re going places, but just where is not for us to know – yet!
